Lowden O25C
Western Red Cedar / East Indian Rosewood |

"The thing about the O is that it has great volume and power but is also
capable of great subtlety. You can play it quite hard ( although some
players find they achieve best results from restraining themselves just a
tad!) and yet you can touch it gently and it still sings. In contrast to
other full size guitars, the tops when played (say up around the 12th to
16th fret areas) are still very rich and full."
George Lowden
One customer recently told me, after playing several Lowdens, that every
other guitar in the shop sounded muddy in comparison. With this guitar I can
see why he'd say that - the cedar top and rosewood back and sides give this
guitar more life, more resonance, more punch than most guitars I've ever
played. And the sustain just rings on and on and on.
"The Original series Lowden guitar features a large soundbox having a very
distinctive outline with a comfortable 45mm/1 3/4 neck. The lightweight
body, achieved by using split woods, combined with the unique Lowden
construction methods, result in an instrument with immense power yet
surprising sensitivity.
A precisely balanced sound is achieved by voicing
the bracing pattern to discipline the naturally deep basses and full trebles
of this large bodied guitar. This original Lowden has featured the A frame
bracing innovation since the early days of it's development over 20 years
ago." - Lowden Guitars
